Evesham based Fulgent Technologies have won a major accolade, Best Corporate Internet Solution, in the Channel Network Awards 2003 and were short-listed for another award.
The Channel Network Awards recognises the best practices in client solutions and encourages channel and vendor partnership across the whole of the IT, telephony, voice/data, Internet and convergence industries. Fulgent were nominated in two categories: Intelligent Corporate IT Solution and Corporate Internet Solution. 'With over 20 entries in each category, we are delighted to win this award', says Nick Dawkes of Fulgent Technologies.
The award nominations are for Fulgent's work with their client, Powergen, who required a business system platform to manage a five-year, £200 million government contract called Warm Front. The system needed to be robust, reliable and easy to use, providing a business platform accessible to several hundred individuals at any one time, from various geographical locations. The client required a detailed level of management information, including financial reporting and the system had to be flexible, to deal with future changes and improvements throughout the five year contract term.
Fulgent Technologies designed and implemented a solution that resulted in reduced administration costs, reduced timelines, reduced IT staffing costs for the client and Powergen are now looking to expand the business platform to other areas of their organisation. The government client also recognises the quality of data and reports provided by the business platform and accurate, real time data has reduced the number of customer complaints to ensure rapid resolution of customer service issues. The centralised application has enabled further enhancements to be rolled out with ease, allowing a fast response to changing needs and requirements.
Fulgent Technologies, established in 1991, has over 1000 users throughout the UK.
